When AOI is relevant
When an ongoing investigation needs additional capacity, digital depth or an analytical framework that is not available within one's own practice. When collaboration strengthens the quality and defensibility of the final result.
Typical triggers
Before the start of a sensitive file: methodical preparation of the analytical framework, scoping and governance of the collaboration
Need for a specialised digital analysis layer within an ongoing fact-finding investigation
Capacity overflow during peak periods or multi-file engagements
Cross-border issues within the BENELUX where a local partner adds value
Need for an independent second opinion on existing findings
Investigations in which the DIS framework adds a structured layer of interpretation
When to engage AOI
With clear agreements on authorship, client of the ultimate end-client, confidentiality and governance. AOI operates within the existing mandate of the principal client.
What AOI delivers
A delineated partial result that fits within the overarching file of the commissioning party. Deliverable in modular form per DIS layer, as an integrated digital analysis layer (DAOI), or in combination with classical fact-finding. Clear agreements on authorship, confidentiality and governance.
What AOI does not do
No takeover of the primary mandate. No direct communication with the end-client unless contractually provided. No white-labelling of the own method outside transparent governance.
